I get to photograph quite a variety of different styles of property and a traditional Yorkshire Dales Farm Property is always a photogenic style to capture.

The kitchen was recently redesigned to be a modern practical space with bifolding doors around a relaxation area which opens out to a patio, ideal for entertaining and admiring the beautiful rural views. The kitchen is now the room the family spend most of their time as no matter whether the weather is beautiful and sunny or a cloudy day, the views are something you will never tire of.
Andrew and the team at EDG Architecture design some very impressive properties and so this is a fairly small project for them, yet every effort has been made to ensure the client gets the very best from their services. It has been well thought out and is a lovely space allowing the family to spend time in the heart of the home. I can highly recommend Andrew and his team for great architecture design that is in keeping and sympathetic to the current property and surroundings yet is innovative and creative.

Photographing interiors and architecture is in my opinion about portraying a lifestyle. A viewer has to be able to envisage themselves in that space, reading a book, having a glass of wine, cooking in that kitchen, or entertaining with family and friends. Professional photography has to ensure that verticals are parallel and are not converging unless there is a creative reason to do otherwise. Also a camera cannot cope well with a wide range of light and dark. Detail can often be lost in the lights and windows and it is my skill as an interior photographer to ensure that detail remains in all areas of the photograph. It is one of the things that make my job interesting and challenging, and photographing beautiful interiors and architecture is always a pleasure, which is why I enjoy working with EDG Architecture.
